New Year
Hmmm... i meant to blog this a long time ago but didn't get the chance to, so here it is....
Well, i spent most of last friday in church. Met the rest of the W-comm peeps at 9am and we bought breakfast from i think was "Cloves and Garlic"? or sumthing like that. 10 kosong and 10 egg prada (excuse the lame joke)... OK we got them 20 pratas okay?? And well, we had "Breakfast with Band C" and it was great. The committee managed to accomplish the first objective, and that was to know our band members better, as we felt that to know how they can gel and improve you gotta know them. So anyway i thought breakfast with them was great. After that we jammed with them in Grace I hall. Erm, i hope i (or the comm) didn't scare you guys or made you upset, but we really meant well k? We love u guys very much, every single one. And well, just to see u all having fun praising God melts our heart to bits. And i must say, i am personally very very extremely proud of this little band. They're so young, but yet they know what pleases the Lord, and they really just wanna make music. Love em. Youngest band in YF ever i think. History makers! :)
Then that afternoon a few of us attended a youth leadership training thing. It was well, long, but none the less, quite the quintessential for an effective ministry. We learned a lot, and i was glad it wasn't all sitting and listening, but also hands on group activities. Relatively fun. Then there was a BBQ at night. Didn't eat much cos BBQ food doesn't really appeal to me. I ended up playing hours of badminton, and i really sweated my guts out. What a workout!
Saturday was spent mainly with family. Had fun with them and it was really great hanging out with Aaron again (He left yesterday night btw). Had dinner with family at Secret Recipe before rushing over to church cos Angel suddenly announced that i was to lead the youths in 2 songs, One Way and Til I See You. One Way was nicely done, as usual. Great song. Meaningful and catchy. Anybody can sing it~! John 14:6, "I am the Way and the Truth and the Life". Then the other song, Til I See You, personally i find is a bleahh song. Well, no issues bout the lyrics, they're OKay, if you get what i mean. But seriously, of all songs, why that song?? But ah it wasn't bad, it was OKay...
BUT that wasn't the only weird thing i heard that night. Shan't mention names, but a certain someone announced that we youths like to repeat songs a thousand times. I wonder what he meant by that? I mean, why not? When you are having an intimate time with God, why rush into the next song? Just enjoy the moment with Him, repeat the same words to Him. Afterall, it's not man you're trying to please right? Anyway, such comments were uncalled for. Goes to show how people can be so shallow.
I'm apalled....
