Fun fun fun !!!
Alrite..the hols have been an all time boring for quite a long time, when suddenly when it came to the weekend, KA-BOOM!!! So much fun everywhere!..'hell freezes over'? lol..
Anyway, the Worship Retreat finally came, after much planning from
June this year. Like wow. Yes, and like what UKC suggested, we should consider changing the name of the retreat to 'Food Retreat' and in brackets, '(Worship also)'. Haha..but honestly, the FOOD was fantastic. I think the organisers had planned for a 3 day 2 night retreat instead. More importantly about the retreat, we learned that worship to God is not about how good the band sounds or how nice a song you sing is. In fact, it's not even about songs! 'Worship' comes from the word, 'Worth-ship', meaning to give to someone what he is worth. So yeah, i personally thought it was meaningful. We played lots of games and sang lots as well. I'm honestly very pleased with the turnout of the retreat. During the planning stages, we were very disappointed and discouraged by the response of many of youths. We even wanted to cancel it! But as the Bible says countless times that if God bring you to it, He will bring you thru it. So me and my committee members clung onto that promise, and we were surprised! I mean, the turnout was just the right amount, and everything went smoothly and we even had leftover food!..well, thankfully we also had big eaters! Man..i should never have doubted God, but He is loving and forgiving. I guess this whole experience for me is not so much on the worship bit, but actually more on the faith part. The entire experience thought me not to doubt God's faithfulness to us. Thank You Lord. =)
